I was wondering what happened to the GTWS episodes -- I was so excited when episode 1 came out, only to be followed by... nothing. That was such a great series, bringing world-class storytelling and footage to a sport that is notoriously difficult to capture well. I hope they figure it out.
Everyone's probably already aware at this point, but I was just listening to a recent episode of the Bad Boy Running podcast co-hosted by David Hellard, and he basically said they ran out of money. Apparently, the media group is distinct from the race series itself and needs its own funding. Anyway, a shame.
We also reached out to GTWS last month about a feature their current state and future and got no answer. Guess we found out why
They still seem to be moving forwards, but they seem to have no partners on their website and their comms have gone awful quiet…
